An Update for Digital Matter Customers on COVID-19 Impact

Digital Matter

To Digital Matter’s Valued Customers:

We are closely monitoring the status of COVID-19 and the global impact on our business and our customers.

In particular, we have been keeping a close eye on our supply chain and the levels of stock on hand. Fortunately, we increased our inventory orders ahead of the Chinese Lunar New Year, as this is normally a volatile time for supply.

We have adequate levels of stock of almost all products and have additional production runs in process to make up short-falls. We have been notified of delays of approximately 6 to 8 weeks in some component and PCB supply, but we are working to minimize this impact.

Over the last 2 weeks, we are seeing Chinese factories and logistics ramp up again, but they are not yet back to full capacity and have large backlogs to deal with. Our production facilities in South Africa, however, continue to operate at full capacity.

From a global perspective, it is unclear how long this situation will last. We will continue to work to limit risk and impact, in both the short and the long term, as COVID-19 impacts all levels of logistics and supply around the world.

We are taking precautions to reduce the possible spread of the virus and to protect our staff and the broader community with prudent policies across our global operations. All of our systems use the latest cloud-based technology so our staff can operate remotely, and as a result we don’t anticipate any major impact on our ability to support you or provide on-going business continuity.

We wish you and your families all the best during these uncertain times.
