LoRaWAN® Oyster GPS and Guppy Tag Certified by Objenious in France

Digital Matter

Our low power, battery-operated Oyster GPS, and Guppy Geolocation Tag are now certified for use on Objenious’s LoRaWAN® network in France.

In addition to location visibility, the Oyster GPS and Guppy Geolocation Tag provide theft prevention and recovery, enable preventative maintenance planning, operations optimization, and more on LoRaWAN’s® low-power wide-area network.

Requiring intensive RF tests, certification on the Objenious network validates Digital Matter’s hardware, and LoRaWAN® stack.

“We developed our own LoRaWAN® stack optimized for low-power asset tracking operations, simplicity and robustness,” says Ken Everett, Digital Matter CEO.

“It is critical for us to be agile and move quickly on supporting new regions and features,” says Everett. “Using our LoRaWAN® stack, we own the source code and have full control over it, which allows us to adapt quickly to rapidly evolving environments as needed.”

Certification on Objenious’s network also substantially accelerates time to market for Digital Matter channel partners developing LoRaWAN® asset tracking solutions in France.

Digital Matter’s Oyster GPS and Guppy Geolocation tags are versatile and rugged asset tracking devices with configurable firmware for monitoring a wide range of non-powered assets on LoRaWAN® networks, such as trailers, bins, equipment, and more. With a battery life of up to five years, the Oyster and Guppy also feature durable weatherproof housing and accelerometers for movement-based monitoring and alerts.
